OpenJudge
02 An independent perspective

OPENJUDGE / AI CONFERENCE PAPARAZZI

Peer review.
Plot twists.

Peer review has plot twists. Bring receipts. OpenJudge follows public papers, reviews, rebuttals and decisions for the disagreements worth reading. The daily editorial workflow prepares Chinese Xiaohongshu stories, English X threads and a shared evidence record. The joke follows the argument; the sources stay in view.

Unified Cross-Scale 3D Generation and Understanding via Autoregressive Modeling

The area chair questioned the contribution, motivation and scope of “unified.” These archived scores must be read in the context of ICLR 2026’s pre-rebuttal score reset. What explains the distance between favorable scores and the decision?

WHO WATCHES THE PROCESS?

Open records are a beginning.
Observation is ongoing work.

OpenReview provides a platform for papers, reviews and discussion. Making a record visible opens another question: who keeps examining how arguments, responses and decisions fit together across the system?

We want to build that independent perspective. OpenJudge uses AI-assisted reading to compare claims with their sources, follow changes in a discussion and surface cases worth understanding. The aim is to learn where peer review works, where it struggles, and what might make it more reliable.

STORIES FROM THE PUBLIC RECORD

The interesting part
is between the scores.

A misunderstanding can be corrected while a rejection still stands. A low score can coexist with a reasoned acceptance. Follow the arguments to understand the outcome.

One variable changed the argument.
Other questions remained.

Adaptive Stacking · Learning What to Remember for Non-Markovian Reinforcement Learning

The discussion distinguished the capacity of a memory stack from the length of history an environment requires. The area chair identified that confusion in a critique of the theory. The paper was still rejected, with concerns about evaluation scope and comparisons remaining.

THE OBSERVER’S QUESTION

When a central misunderstanding is corrected, how should the remaining objections be weighed?

Follow the change in the discussion

The archived meta-review acknowledges the distinction between a small memory buffer and a much longer relevant history. It also identifies gaps in complex visual evaluation and comparisons with specialized memory architectures.

This lets us separate the correction of a particular argument from an assessment of the whole paper. The published analysis uses the available discussion and manuscript material; no independent experiment reproduction is claimed.

A low-score acceptance.
A disagreement about value.

PLAGUE · Plug-and-play Framework for Lifelong Adaptive Generation of Multi-turn Jailbreaks

The archive shows ratings of 2, 2, 4 and 2, alongside a poster acceptance. Reviewers questioned novelty and evaluation. The area chair valued the engineering contribution and cited additional comparisons and clarifications in the response.

THE OBSERVER’S QUESTION

How should a useful engineering contribution be judged when reviewers disagree about what counts as novelty?

Look beyond the numerical contrast

The meta-review describes additional budget-matched comparisons and ablations. It also expresses disagreement with some novelty objections and with the expectation that an attack paper must propose defenses.

A prediction that reviewers might raise their ratings is distinct from a recorded rating change. The archived mean is a dated snapshot, and the acceptance needs to be read alongside the arguments and process context.

THE DAILY NEWSROOM

One public case.
Three ways into the story.

Find the conflict, reconstruct the timeline and check the punchline against the evidence. The OpenJudge Daily skill packages a case for three audiences, with research topics kept alongside the drama categories.

  1. 01 / XIAOHONGSHU

    今日顶会大戏。

Chinese copy, two title options and six card scripts. A strong opening, the technical disagreement and the context that changes the story.

  2. 02 / X

    The thread, with receipts.

A compact English thread with a hook, the review and response, the decision and links to the public record.

  3. 03 / OPENJUDGE

    The evidence stays here.

An English evidence page with source links, a timeline, alternative explanations, open questions and corrections.

The skill prepares content through a host agent. Live social posting and recurring delivery require connected publishing and scheduling tools.

AI AS AN OBSERVER

Read closely.
Leave room to be corrected.

An observation becomes useful when another reader can trace it, challenge it and offer a better explanation. That is the standard we want OpenJudge to work toward.

  1. 01 / THE RECORD

    Keep the source in view.

Identify the paper version, review, author response and decision. Preserve the dates and distinguish archived scores from later discussion.

  2. 02 / THE INTERPRETATION

    Compare the arguments.

Follow an objection through the response and meta-review. Examine reasonable alternative explanations and state what was actually read.

  3. 03 / THE OPEN QUESTION

    Make revision possible.

Show what remains uncertain and which evidence could change the interpretation. Invite corrections from authors, reviewers and readers.

The current collection113 AI-assisted case reports in the published 28 September 2026 edition, based on an archive dated 8 May 2026. The archive contains 19,814 papers that were mechanically screened; that count does not describe full manuscript reading. Coverage and source versions ↗

Read the scores in contextICLR 2026 restored scores to a pre-rebuttal state, as described in the conference’s retrospective. A score contrast alone cannot establish a mistaken decision or misconduct. The collection does not claim independent human technical review, verified original PDFs for every case, or reproduced experiments.
